Ingredients

– 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch sticks

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 2 eggs, beaten

– 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1 tsp dried oregano

– 1/2 tsp salt

– Vegetable oil for frying


Instructions

1. 1. In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.

2. 2. Season the panko with garlic powder, oregano, and salt. Mix to combine.

3. 3. Dip the mozzarella cheese sticks first in the flour, then the egg, and finally coat them in the seasoned panko.

4. 4. In a large skillet, heat 1-2 inches of vegetable oil over medium heat.

5. 5. Fry the breaded mozzarella sticks for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

6. 6. Transfer the fried mozzarella sticks to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

7. 7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
