Description

Warm, cheesy, and packed with pepperoni, these heart-shaped pizza pockets are a fun and easy snack the whole family will love. Bake up a batch for game day, movie night, or anytime you need a tasty bite.

Ingredients

– 1 package refrigerated pizza dough

– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

– 1 package mini pepperoni slices

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.

3. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes from the dough.

4. Place a heaping teaspoon of mozzarella cheese and a few pepperoni slices in the center of each heart-shaped dough piece.

5. Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.

6. Transfer the sealed pizza pockets to the prepared baking sheet.

7. Brush the tops of the pockets with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, oregano, and salt.

8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a crispier crust, you can brush the pockets with a beaten egg before baking. Experiment with different cheese and topping combinations to customize the flavors.
