Grandma’s classic Hanky Panky Appetizers are a quick and easy crowd-pleaser that are bursting with savory, cheesy flavor. These bite-sized bites are perfect for any occasion, from parties and game days to family gatherings.
Ingredients
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
– 1 package (12 ounces) party rye bread or cocktail pumpernickel bread
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
3. In a medium bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.
4. Spread the beef mixture evenly onto the party rye or cocktail pumpernickel bread slices.
5. Place the prepared appetizers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes
For an extra burst of flavor, try adding a sprinkle of paprika or chopped fresh parsley on top. These appetizers can also be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
