Ingredients
– 8 slices of bread
– 1/2 cup fig jam
– 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, brie, or gouda work well)
– 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions
1. – Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium heat.
2. – Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
3. – Place 4 slices of bread, butter-side down, on the grill. Top each slice with a slice of cheese and 2-3 tablespoons of fig jam.
4. – Top with the remaining 4 slices of bread, butter-side up.
5. – Grill the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
6. – Remove from the grill and let cool for 1-2 minutes before serving.
Notes
