Description

Smoky, savory grilled bacon dogs drizzled with a sweet and caramelized brown sugar onion glaze – you’ll want to make these again and again!

Ingredients

– 8 all-beef hot dogs

– 8 slices of bacon

– 1 large onion, thinly sliced

– 1/4 cup brown sugar

– 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

– 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. – Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

2. – Wrap each hot dog with a slice of bacon, securing with toothpicks.

3. – Grill the bacon-wrapped hot dogs for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy.

4. – In a skillet, sauté the onion slices over medium heat until softened, about 5 minutes.

5. – Add the brown sugar, vinegar, and mustard. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

6. – Remove the toothpicks from the hot dogs and drizzle the brown sugar onion glaze over the top.

7. – Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper to the onion glaze. The glaze can also be made in advance and reheated before serving.
