Description

Sink your teeth into this divine, buttery Garlic Parmesan Focaccia with a crisp crust and irresistible flavor. Perfect for any meal!

Ingredients

– 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon instant yeast or active dry yeast

– 1 1/4 cups (295 ml) warm water

– 3 tablespoons (42g) olive oil, plus more for drizzling

– 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

1. – In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast. Add the warm water and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.

2. – Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

3. – Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

4. – Punch down the dough to release air bubbles. Transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and use your fingers to spread and stretch the dough to the edges of the pan.

5. – Use your fingers to dimple the surface of the dough. Drizzle with additional olive oil and sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and dried oregano.

6. – Cover the pan and let the dough rise for an additional 30 minutes.

7. – Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

8. – Bake for 18-22 minutes, until the focaccia is golden brown.

9. – Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with more olive oil if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese. The dimples in the dough help create that classic focaccia texture. Store leftover focaccia in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
