Description

Indulge in the rich, creamy texture and savory garlic notes of these easy Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The perfect side dish for any meal, these mashed potatoes come together in just 5 minutes with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

– 3 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes

– 6 cloves garlic, minced

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup warm milk

– 1 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. – Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cubed potatoes and cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

2. – Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the minced garlic, butter, warm milk, salt, and pepper.

3. – Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or hand mixer until smooth and creamy.

4. – Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

5. – Serve hot, garnished with additional butter, chives, or parsley if desired.

Notes

– For an extra creamy texture, use a ricer or food mill to mash the potatoes.

– Add more milk for a thinner consistency or less milk for a thicker mash.

– Try roasting the garlic for a deeper, sweeter flavor.
