Ingredients
– 1 lb fusilli pasta
– 1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 onion, diced
– 1 tsp dried basil
– 1 tsp dried oregano
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
– Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2. 2. In a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish, combine the diced tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, onion, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
3. 3. Bake the tomato mixture for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway, until thickened and caramelized.
4. 4. Meanwhile, cook the fusilli pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
