Description

Indulge in the delightful creaminess of Freeze-Dried Strawberry Buttercream! This homemade frosting is a vibrant, flavorful addition to cakes, cupcakes, and more, elevating your baked goods with a burst of fresh strawberry taste.

Ingredients

– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

– 4 cups powdered sugar

– 1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, finely crushed

– 2-3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk

– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

– Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating well after each addition until fully incorporated.

3. Crush the freeze-dried strawberries into a fine powder using a food processor or blender. Add the crushed strawberries to the buttercream and mix until well combined.

4. Add the heavy cream or milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, and the vanilla extract. Beat on high speed until the buttercream is smooth, creamy, and spreadable, about 2-3 minutes.

5. If the buttercream is too thick, add an additional tablespoon of heavy cream or milk. If it’s too thin, add more powdered sugar, 1/4 cup at a time.

6. Use the Freeze-Dried Strawberry Buttercream to frost cakes, cupcakes, or other baked goods as desired.

Notes

For a stronger strawberry flavor, you can add an additional 1/4 cup of crushed freeze-dried strawberries. The buttercream can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
