Description

Dill Pickle Focaccia Bread is a delightful and flavorful homemade bread that’s ready in just 30 minutes. This quick and easy recipe combines the tangy taste of dill pickles with the soft, chewy texture of focaccia for a mouthwatering snack or side dish.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon active dry yeast

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup warm water

– 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for drizzling

– 1 cup diced dill pickles

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, and salt. Stir to mix.

3. Add the warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the dry ingredients. Use a wooden spoon or your hands to mix the ingredients until a shaggy dough forms.

4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.

5. Use your hands to press the dough into a rectangular shape, about 1/2-inch thick, and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

6. Dimple the dough with your fingers, creating indentations across the surface. Distribute the diced dill pickles evenly over the dough.

7. Drizzle the top of the focaccia with additional olive oil, ensuring the pickles are coated.

8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the focaccia is golden brown and crispy on the edges.

9. Remove the Dill Pickle Focaccia Bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of dill pickles to suit your personal taste preferences. You can also experiment with other flavor combinations, such as adding chopped fresh herbs or garlic.
