Description

Indulge in a hearty, flavorful crockpot chili that’s easy to prepare and perfect for busy weeknights or cozy gatherings. This slow-cooked classic is sure to warm you up from the inside out.

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 cans (15 oz each) diced tomatoes

– 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

– 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

– 2 tablespoons chili powder

– 1 tablespoon cumin

– 1 teaspoon oregano

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. – In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and crumbled, 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

2. – Add the cooked beef, onion, and garlic to a slow cooker.

3. – Pour in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and kidney beans. Stir to combine.

4. – Add the chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well.

5. – Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the flavors have melded and the chili is hot and bubbly.

6. – Serve hot, garnished with desired toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped green onions.

Notes

– For a spicier chili, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to taste.

– Adjust the seasoning to your liking, adding more salt, pepper, or chili powder as desired.

– This chili freezes well, so feel free to make a double batch and save some for later.
