Description

Creole Butter is a quick and easy way to add bold, spicy flavor to any dish. This versatile compound butter is made with a blend of fragrant herbs and spices, creating a delicious condiment that pairs perfectly with steak, seafood, crusty bread, and more.

Ingredients

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 2 tablespoons paprika

– 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1 teaspoon dried thyme

– 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well incorporated.

2. Lay a sheet of parchment paper or plastic wrap on a clean surface. Spoon the butter mixture onto the center of the paper and roll into a log, twisting the ends to secure.

3. Refrigerate the Creole Butter log for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

4. Slice the chilled Creole Butter and serve on top of grilled meats, seafood, crusty bread, or use as a dip for vegetables.

Notes

– For a spicier butter, increase the cayenne pepper to 1 1/2 teaspoons.

– Creole Butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
