Description

Indulge in the rich, creamy flavors of Tuscan-style butter shrimp, ready in just 20 minutes. Tender shrimp are simmered in a luxurious sauce made with heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, and aromatic herbs, creating a decadent and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

– 1 lb peeled and deveined shrimp

– 4 tbsp unsalted butter

– 1 cup heavy cream

– 3 garlic cloves, minced

– 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, thinly sliced

– 1 tsp dried basil

– 1/2 tsp dried oregano

– 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

– Salt and black pepper to taste

– Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.

2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

3. Reduce heat to medium and add the garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until fragrant.

4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

5. Add the sun-dried tomatoes, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.

6. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are heated through.

7. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

8. Serve the Creamy Tuscan Butter Shrimp immediately, garnished with chopped parsley. Enjoy over pasta, rice, or with a side salad.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, you can add an extra 1/4 cup of heavy cream. You can also swap out the sun-dried tomatoes for fresh cherry tomatoes if desired.
