Description

This Cranberry Sauce recipe is a quick and easy way to elevate your holiday meals. Tart cranberries are simmered with sugar, spices, and a hint of orange for a delightfully sweet and tangy condiment.

Ingredients

– 12 oz fresh cranberries

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup water

– 1 tbsp orange zest

– 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

– 1/8 tsp ground cloves

Instructions

1. – In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water.

2. – Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.

3. – Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-12 minutes, until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened.

4. – Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest, cinnamon, and cloves.

5. – Allow the cranberry sauce to cool completely before serving.

Notes

For a smoother texture, you can use a potato masher or the back of a spoon to gently crush some of the cranberries. Refrigerate leftover cranberry sauce for up to 1 week.
