Description

Crack Green Beans are a quick and easy side dish that’s always a hit! These crispy, flavorful beans come together in just 5 minutes and make the perfect complement to any meal.

Ingredients

– 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and blanch for 2-3 minutes, until crisp-tender. Drain and pat dry.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).

3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the blanched green beans and sauté for 2-3 minutes, until lightly charred and crispy.

4. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the beans and toss to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.

5. Serve the Crack Green Beans hot, garnished with additional red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, you can toss the blanched beans with a bit of cornstarch before sautéing. The red pepper flakes add a nice kick, but you can adjust the amount to suit your spice preference.
