Description
Cottage Cheese Cloud Bread is a light, fluffy, and low-carb alternative to traditional bread. This simple recipe comes together in just 5 minutes and is perfect for everything from sandwiches to toast.
Ingredients
– 3 large eggs, separated
– 1/2 cup cottage cheese
– 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
– 1 tablespoon granulated sweetener (optional)
Instructions
1. 1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. 2. In a medium bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
3. 3. In a separate bowl, mix the egg yolks and cottage cheese until well combined.
4. 4. Gently fold the egg white mixture into the cottage cheese mixture until just combined.
5. 5. Scoop the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, forming 6 equal-sized rounds.
6. 6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden.
7. 7. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a sweeter bread, add 1 tablespoon of granulated sweetener to the batter. These cloud breads are also delicious savory – try adding herbs, garlic powder, or a sprinkle of cheese on top.
