Description

Satisfy your cravings for the iconic P.F. Chang’s Crispy Honey Shrimp with this easy-to-make copycat recipe! Perfectly crispy shrimp coated in a sweet, sticky, and irresistible honey glaze – ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

– 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 1/2 cup cornstarch

– 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

– 1 tsp salt

– 1/2 tsp black pepper

– Vegetable oil for frying

– 1/2 cup honey

– 2 tbsp soy sauce

– 1 tbsp rice vinegar

– 1 tsp sesame oil

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tsp grated ginger

– 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

– Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

1. – Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and place in a large bowl.

2. – In a shallow dish, whisk together the cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper.

3. – Dredge the shrimp in the cornstarch mixture, coating them evenly on all sides.

4. – In a large skillet or wok, heat 1-2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

5. – Working in batches, fry the coated shrimp for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

6. – In a small saucepan, combine the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until slightly thickened.

7. – Add the fried shrimp to the honey sauce and toss to coat evenly.

8. – Serve the Copycat P.F. Chang’s Crispy Honey Shrimp immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

– For extra crispiness, let the fried shrimp drain on a wire rack instead of a paper towel-lined plate.

– Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your desired level of spiciness.

– Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
