Description

Indulge in the classic flavors of this timeless French dish, the Quiche Lorraine. With a buttery, flaky crust and a rich, creamy custard filling, this recipe is a true masterpiece that will delight your taste buds.

Ingredients

– 1 pre-made pie crust

– 6 large eggs

– 2 cups heavy cream

– 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese

– 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Roll out the pie crust and gently fit it into a 9-inch pie dish, pressing it into the sides. Trim any excess crust.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, Gruyère cheese, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

4. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.

5. Carefully pour the egg mixture over the bacon.

6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

7. Allow the quiche to cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a flakier crust, you can blind bake the pie crust for 10-15 minutes before adding the filling. You can also experiment with different cheese varieties, such as Parmesan or cheddar, to customize the flavor.
