Description
Indulge in the irresistible taste of Churro Toffee, a delightful homemade treat inspired by the iconic Disneyland snack. This quick and easy recipe captures the perfect balance of buttery toffee, cinnamon-sugar coating, and a delectable caramel drizzle.
Ingredients
– 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1 cup packed brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1/4 cup caramel sauce, for drizzling
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until well combined.
3. Stir in the cinnamon and salt until incorporated.
4. Add the flour and mix until a thick, spreadable dough forms.
5. Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
6. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
7. Remove the pan from the oven and immediately sprinkle the granulated sugar over the top.
8. Allow the toffee to cool completely in the pan, then use the parchment paper to lift it out.
9. Cut the toffee into bars or squares and drizzle with the caramel sauce.
10. Serve and enjoy your homemade Churro Toffee (Disneyland Copycat)!
Notes
For a deeper caramel flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar. You can also add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a salted caramel twist.
