Description
Churro Saltine Toffee is a quick and easy treat that combines the sweet, cinnamon-sugar flavors of churros with the crunchy goodness of saltine crackers. This irresistible toffee comes together in just 5 minutes!
Ingredients
– 40 saltine crackers
– 1 cup unsalted butter
– 1 cup light brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. – Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. – Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
3. – In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.
4. – Remove from heat and carefully pour the hot toffee mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading it to cover them evenly.
5. – Sprinkle the cinnamon and salt over the top.
6. – Bake for 5 minutes.
7. – Remove from the oven and let cool completely, about 30 minutes.
8. – Break the toffee-coated crackers into pieces and enjoy!
Notes
– For extra crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts or toasted coconut over the toffee before baking.
