Description

Ingredients

– 16 ounces cream cheese, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 2 eggs

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in 1 cup of sugar and beat until well combined.

3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the cream cheese mixture, mixing just until combined.

6. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, 1/2 cup of sugar, and cinnamon.

7. Spread half of the cheesecake batter into the prepared baking pan. Drizzle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top.

8. Gently dollop the remaining cheesecake batter over the cinnamon-sugar layer and spread it out evenly.

9. Drizzle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top.

10. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is almost set. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

For a deeper cinnamon flavor, increase the amount of ground cinnamon in the topping mixture. Serve the Churro Cheesecake Bars chilled or at room temperature.
