– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 3/4 cup granulated sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cup eggnog
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the eggnog and vanilla extract until well combined.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until incorporated. Do not overmix.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a more pronounced eggnog flavor, you can add an extra 1/4 cup of eggnog to the batter. Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
