Ingredients

– 3 eggs

– 3/4 cup milk

– 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

1. – Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

2. – In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.

3. – Add the flour, salt, and black pepper, and whisk until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

4. – Stir in 3/4 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese and the crumbled bacon.

5. – Melt the butter in a 10-inch oven-safe skillet or baking dish over medium heat.

6. – Pour the batter into the hot skillet and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese on top.

7. – Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the Dutch Baby is puffed and golden-brown.

8. – Remove from the oven and serve immediately, garnished with additional bacon crumbles and fresh chives, if desired.

Notes

For a savory twist, you can also add diced onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms to the batter. For a sweeter version, top the Dutch Baby with powdered sugar, fresh berries, or a drizzle of maple syrup.
