– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions

2. 2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
3. 3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
4. 4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
5. 5. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
6. 6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly underbaked.
7. 7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra spooky touch, try adding a pinch of cinnamon or a dash of cayenne pepper to the dough. You can also top the cookies with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or drizzle of melted chocolate before serving.
