Description

Indulge in the ultimate appetizer – Buffalo Blitz Bites (Puff pastry stuffed with buffalo chicken dip). Flaky puff pastry encases a creamy, spicy buffalo chicken filling, creating a delectable and irresistible snack that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

– 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

– 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

– 2 cups shredded cooked chicken

– 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

– 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, shredded chicken, buffalo hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt until well combined.

3. Unfold the puff pastry sheet and roll it out slightly to create a larger rectangle. Cut the pastry into 12 equal squares.

4. Place a heaping tablespoon of the buffalo chicken mixture in the center of each pastry square. Fold the pastry over the filling to create a triangle and crimp the edges to seal.

5. Arrange the filled pastry triangles on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

7. Serve the Buffalo Blitz Bites warm, with additional buffalo sauce or ranch dressing for dipping, if desired.

Notes

These bites can be made ahead and frozen before baking. To bake, simply place the frozen bites on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes.
