Description

This Broccoli Cheese Casserole is a rich, creamy, and delicious dish that’s perfect for a family dinner. With tender broccoli florets and a cheesy, baked topping, it’s a comforting and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

– 1 lb broccoli florets

– 1/2 cup butter

– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

– 2 cups milk

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

2. 2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

3. 3. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

4. 4. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

5. 5. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

6. 6. Place the broccoli florets in a 9×13 inch baking dish.

7. 7. Pour the cheese sauce over the broccoli and stir to combine.

8. 8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender and the top is golden brown.

Notes

For a crunchy topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs or crushed crackers over the top before baking. You can also add cooked chicken or ham to make it a complete meal.
