Description
This Bourbon BBQ-Glazed Meatloaf with a bacon criss-cross topping is a delicious and easy dinner the whole family will love. The flavorful glaze and crispy bacon create an irresistible combination.
Ingredients
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1 egg
– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
– 1/4 cup milk
– 1 onion, diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp black pepper
– 1/2 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
– 6 slices bacon
Instructions
1. – Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. – In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
3. – Transfer the meatloaf mixture to a loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
4. – Pour the bourbon BBQ sauce over the top of the meatloaf, making sure to coat it evenly.
5. – Arrange the bacon slices in a criss-cross pattern on top of the meatloaf.
6. – Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
7. – Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
– For extra flavor, you can mix some of the bourbon BBQ sauce into the meatloaf mixture before shaping it.
– Experiment with different types of BBQ sauce to find your perfect flavor.
– Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
