Description

Baked apples filled with a creamy, indulgent mixture of crumbled feta, sweet honey, and tart cranberries, creating a delightful balance of flavors that’s perfect for a cozy fall dessert or elegant holiday treat.

Ingredients

– 6 medium-sized Honeycrisp or Gala apples

– 1 cup crumbled feta cheese

– 1/2 cup honey

– 1/2 cup fresh or dried cranberries

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. 2. Slice the tops off the apples and use a spoon or melon baller to scoop out the cores, leaving a small well in the center of each apple.

3. 3. In a small bowl, mix together the crumbled feta, honey, and cranberries until well combined.

4. 4. Spoon the feta-honey-cranberry mixture into the hollowed-out centers of the apples, pressing it down gently.

5. 5. Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the filling is hot and bubbly.

6. 6. Remove the apples from the oven and garnish with the chopped fresh rosemary.

7. 7. Serve warm, either on their own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of additional honey, if desired.

Notes

For a more decadent treat, you can add a sprinkle of brown sugar or chopped walnuts to the feta-honey-cranberry filling before baking. These baked apples also make a great holiday dessert or a cozy, comforting fall treat.
