Description

Juicy Andouille sausage and succulent shrimp come together in these mouthwatering skewers, bursting with Cajun spices and smoky flavors. This easy-to-make appetizer is perfect for parties, gatherings, and summer entertaining.


Ingredients

– 1 pound Andouille sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces

– 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning

– 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

– 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

– Salt and pepper to taste

– Wooden or metal skewers


Instructions

1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

2. In a large bowl, combine the Andouille sausage pieces, shrimp, olive oil, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Toss to coat the ingredients evenly.

3. Thread the Andouille sausage and shrimp onto the skewers, alternating between the two.

4. Grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp is cooked through and the sausage is lightly charred.

5. Remove the skewers from the grill and season with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Serve the Andouille Sausage and Shrimp Skewers warm, garnished with fresh herbs or lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality Andouille sausage and large, fresh shrimp. Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning to suit your preference. These skewers can also be baked in the oven at 400°F for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through.
